Buckwheat Dhokla

A healthy variety of Dhokla. Buckwheat is rich in minerals and antioxidants. The fiber content in buckwheat helps in providing satiety and lowers sugar spikes.

Ingredients

  • 1.25 cups buckwheat
  • ½ cup sour curd
  • 1 tsp green chilli paste
  • ¼ tsp ginger paste
  • Salt to taste

Method

  • In a mixing bowl, add washed buckwheat, curd and ½ cup water and mix well. Cover with a lid and set aside and let it soak for 4-5 hours.
  • Add the green chilli paste, ginger paste, salt and mix well.
  • Pour the batter into a greased tray and spread evenly.
  • Place the tray in a steamer and steam for 10-12 mins.
  • Allow to cool for a minute and cut into blocks.
  • Serve hot.
