A delicious stir fried dish made with chickpeas, spices and herbs. Fiber and protein rich, it helps to maintain to maintain blood sugar levels and keeps the digestive tract healthy.

Ingredients
- 2 cups chickpeas
- ½ tsp red chilli powder
- 1 sprig curry leaves
- 1 pinch asafoetida
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 green chilli slit
- 1/8 tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp mustard seeds
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp oil
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp garam masala
Method
- Pressure cook chickpeas for 6-8 whistles on a medium heat.
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, 1 slit green chilli, curry leaves and 1 pinch asafoetida.
- Add ginger garlic paste and saute well till the raw smell goes off.
- Add the cooked chickpeas.
- Add garam masala, salt, turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Stir well for a min. Cook well till the water evaporates completely.
- Serve hot.
